Prepare to get wet

Today we must stand and face the storm of resistance. It’s coming with an endless saturation of fear. But like with any storm this too shall pass. So grab your slicker, rain boots, umbrella and prepare to get wet.

Raise your arms

There were moments amid a fight boxing great Sugar Ray Leonard would raise his arms in victory while continuing to throw punches. From Leonard’s view, he saw victory amid the battle. His actions reminded me of the lyrics of a song; “Don’t wait til the battle is over shout now, because in the end you’re gonna win!” regardless of what you’re going through, what you’ve lost, or what tomorrow may bring if you are in Christ and representatives of God’s kingdom, you win: the price has already been paid, and the victory is won. Proverbs 21:31 (NIV) states: “ The horse is made ready for the day of battle, but victory rest with the lord.” 1 Samuel 17:47 (NIV): “All those gathered here will know that it is not by sword or spear that the Lord saves; for the battle is the Lord’s, and he will give all of you into our hands.” Be encouraged to raise your arms and shout victory today!

Sorry, not today

Struggling to feel significant, purposeful today. The imposter syndrome wants to succeed at all costs. Resistance desires to sift me as Wheat, and keep me from having the impact I’m capable of. It wants to render me to the way things are, “this is it, there’s nothing else!” Well sorry buddy, not today.

Today I Write

Today I write. Today I write with a clear mind to write whatever comes to mind. Today I write focusing not on things I can’t control. Today I write ridding myself of the noise and distractions that steals my focus. Today I write not seeking validation or praise. Today I write.
