The Flat Tire
Discouragement happens to all of us, It’s like having a flat tire, it seems to happen at the most inappropriate time.
The Tongue
The deadliest weapon known to man is the little piece of flesh sitting inside his mouth: his tongue. It has destroyed marriages and ended friendships. It has started wars and ended lives. It has severed parent-child relationships and has falsely accused. It has degraded women and disrespected men.
The Bible states in Proverbs 18:21: โDeath and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it will eat its fruit. Question: which fruit do you love the most? ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ what words will you speak today: death or life? The power rests within you. ๐
No Guarantees
Life gives me no guarantees. I must be willing to get up and do my work. I can’t wait for the right time because it never comes. I can’t wait for others to get it because they never will. I can’t wait to feel like it because I wonโt. I canโt wait until things get better because they might get worse. The perfect situation is a myth, and waiting until Iโm good and ready is a lie. All I have is today, right now, with no guarantees.
Will you?
Will you lead or look? Will you decide or follow? Will you do it? Will you knock on the door of opportunity, or will someone else?
Value the simple
Don’t overthink life. Just do life. Life can be complex and simple at the same time. Most times, the easiest, simplest things in life are the hardest to do. We shunned it because we think it has no value. Make it your mission to find value in the simple.

Netflix, Vanilla Ice Cream, & Oreos
As Nancy drove through her new neighborhood, admiring the beautiful homes, wide streets, and mature trees, her thoughts immediately shifted back to a conversation she had earlier today during her annual physical. “Nancy, it shows you have gained 20 pounds since last year; what’s happening? Is everything ok?” “Well, Dr. Jackson, to tell you the truth, it’s been real tough for me these last 12 months,” She stated. “I watched the love of my life walk out on me, was kicked out the door after 25 years on my job, and lost my home after 17 years because I could no longer afford the payment.” “Add in this Covid thing, and you could see why I spent most of my days sitting on the couch crying, watching Netflix, and eating vanilla ice cream and Oreos.
