As a kid I remember eating Hamburger Helper. But Tuna Helper! No that wasn’t for me! Fast forward some 40 years later and Tuna Helper is still being sold. Like Tuna Helper, your creative work will not be for everyone. Some will like it, some will not. Some will get it, some will not. Everything is not for everybody, but it’s for somebody. We can’t do it for you. I can’t do it, momma can’t do it, friends can’t do it. Your enemies can’t even do it. It’s up to you, will you do it today? Will you do it tomorrow? Will you do it when you don’t feel like it? Will you do it when all hell is breaking lose? Will you do it when your misunderstood? Will you do it when the cheering comes, will you do it when the cheering stops? Will you show up, create and ship. The choice is yours.

It’s time to work, get back into the grind, focus on what needs to be done. Move forward with your duties, opportunities. Learn something new, try something new and see where it takes you today. Be up for the challenge.

There’s something to say today. There’s a new thought, maybe even a old one that resurfaced from the past. Today is a new opportunity to write something that hasn’t been written, to share something that can encourage, inspire, or even get no response at all. Today is that day.

The practice. Football players practice. Baseball players practice. Musicians practice. I must show up everyday and practice, it doesn’t matter how I feel, or what went on yesterday, (the last few days have been trying) or if I’m tried or not. I must practice regardless of the outcome. It my not resonates with anybody. I may not receive any likes, any thumbs up, or even thumbs down. All I can do is practice; show up, do my work, and ship. Because as the old saying goes, “practice makes perfect!”
