It’s time to work, get back into the grind, focus on what needs to be done. Move forward with your duties, opportunities. Learn something new, try something new and see where it takes you today. Be up for the challenge.

There’s something to say today. There’s a new thought, maybe even a old one that resurfaced from the past. Today is a new opportunity to write something that hasn’t been written, to share something that can encourage, inspire, or even get no response at all. Today is that day.

The practice. Football players practice. Baseball players practice. Musicians practice. I must show up everyday and practice, it doesn’t matter how I feel, or what went on yesterday, (the last few days have been trying) or if I’m tried or not. I must practice regardless of the outcome. It my not resonates with anybody. I may not receive any likes, any thumbs up, or even thumbs down. All I can do is practice; show up, do my work, and ship. Because as the old saying goes, “practice makes perfect!”

All you have is today, what will you do with it? What words will you write? What words will you speak? What challenges will you face? What fears will you take on? What opportunities will you embrace? What past hindrance’s will you let go of? All you have is today, what will you do with it?

Stop comparing. Stop comparing your life to the life of others. Stop comparing your success with the success of others. Stop comparing your opportunities, your looks, your talent, your gifts, your education, your likes on social media, etc. Stop comparing.

Stop waiting to be pick, pick your dam self! Stop waiting for the ok, you have what it takes already! Stop waiting for the right time, because it never comes. Stop waiting for your situation to change because it never will! Stop desiring the good old days, because there gone and won’t be coming back! Stop waiting for others to change, because the change starts with you. Pick yourself and get moving.

When is the perfect time to write? When you feel like it? When the government agrees? When there’s money in the bank? Or maybe, It’s when you get that degree, your kids are grown and gone, or when COVID ends? No, your time is right now, right here, today. Show up, write, and ship. That’s the perfect time.

What’s stopping you from writing? What’s stopping you from putting pen to paper, pencil to post a note, crayon to cardboard? Laptop, smartphone, finger in the dirt? Start putting words together, anyway, anytime, anywhere. Use what you got.

You are a fraud, a fake, a phony, how dare you show up with your creativity? How dare you write today or any day on your blog? How dare you try to ship work that matters? There’s no one listening to you! Stop this madness, conform, comply, hide! do what so many others do every day of their waking lives, follow the path of least resistance. Yeah right!

The world isn’t changing, it has already changed. People have changed, school has changed, work has changed, food has changed, transportation has changed, technology has changed. So how will you show up in this changed world?
